The best day of your life, captured in all its natural glory – by us!

There are the tiny everyday moments of joy, like finding a fiver in your back pocket or arriving at the station at the exact same moment as the train.

Then there are the huge moments of joy that happen once in a lifetime. Like the birth of your child, the best first date you’ve ever had, or, maybe, your wedding day?!

Your wedding day’s a BIG DEAL. And it comes with BIG STRESS too. Our goal, as your new favourite wedding photographers and all-round amazing human beings, is to capture the moments that really matter and be your right-hand-people along the way – so you can ditch the stress, halt the worry in its tracks, and remember your wedding day as the fun, laid-back, celebration of love you’re dreaming of.

Three things you need to know…

1: We’re Neil & Deb

We love love, we’re people-people and we like to think we’re pretty good at photography, too. We live just outside Bristol with our pup, Milo, and you’ll usually find us eating overpriced sourdough or pretending we hate Married At First Sight before settling in to watch it for the 812th week in a row.

2: We’re wedding photographers

We’ve been a camera-wielding duo since 2015, after Neil closed the photojournalism chapter of his life and stepped into wedding photography instead. We’ve shot hundreds of weddings, edited thousands of photos and still enjoy every moment as much as ever.

3: We work in Bristol, Bath & beyond

We’re based in Bristol, but we’re globetrotters if you need us to be! We regularly shoot at venues like Coombe Lodge, Clevedon Hall, Berwick Lodge, Elmhay Park, Priston Mill, Quantock Lakes and more across Somerset, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and further afield. Wherever your venue, we’d love to shoot it!

“One of the best wedding planning decisions we made was picking Neil and Deb for our photography! It is hard to quite put into words how amazing Neil & Deb were on the day! They both went above and beyond their job role, and I honestly believe our day went so smoothly because of them! All of our guests kept saying how awesome they were! They blended in and made everyone at ease. Poor Deb was even taking my heels off and putting my slippers on for me after the first dance! What attention to detail and pure gems they both are!” Emma & Will Poole – Crowcombe Court

“Neil & Deb are incredible! I’m not one for having my photos taken so their style suited us brilliantly! They’re relaxed, fun and absolutely fantastic! I have worked in weddings for over 5 years and these guys are the best duo I’ve ever worked with, quick to get back to you, fast on delivery of photos and while Neil is snapping away Debs is making sure you look amazing. Would 100% recommend. Thank you guys for making our day so special!” Rosie & James Norrish – The Pear Tree, Purton

Everything you’re dying to ask us about your wedding photography

The General Stuff

We’re not fans of labels, but if we HAD to describe our photography style it would have to be documentary. Neil worked as a photojournalist for many years before making the move to wedding photography, so documentary style is what he’s the best at!

We shoot in-the-moment, usually with natural lighting and unposed shots (aside from formal group shots, of course), to capture the rawness and realness of your wedding day. Our signature editing style enhances the natural beauty of the day without over-editing and having Deb as a casual second-shooter throughout the day ensures we get the moments that others might miss.

Neil & Deb to the rescue! If you’re not a natural in front of the camera, that’s fine - because you don’t need to be! The most beautiful photos we’ve shot are those where you’re not posing at all.

We always say as long as you can walk, hold hands and smile at each other, you’ve nailed it. Your wedding photos are about you interacting as a newly-married couple, not us. If you’ve got specific shots in mind, we’ll help you achieve them in the most natural, non-cringey way possible - but if you’ve got no idea what shots you want or how to act when a camera’s in sight, we’ll make it as comfortable and easy for you as possible.

We sure do! We’re insured in every area needed for our work and are happy to provide specific details for venues or other suppliers if necessary.

As you’d expect, all of our photographic equipment is professional standard and backed up in every possible way.

When we’re shooting, each camera has two memory cards - so that in the unlikely event one card is corrupted or breaks down in any way (which has never happened before, touch wood!), there’s always a back up.

We also carry around more spare batteries, lens wipes, and spare memory cards than anyone could ever need - just in case.

We’re based in the outskirts of Bristol, which makes us perfectly located for weddings in Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Devon, Gloucestershire - and beyond. We’ve travelled across the UK to the Cotswolds, Dorset and lots of other exciting places, and we’ve travelled abroad for location weddings too.

If your wedding is further afield, we might ask for a bed at the venue the night before your wedding - but we’ll chat about all this before you book!

Booking Info

Most of our couples book around 18 months ahead of their Big Day - but the sooner the better! We do get booked up very quickly, but occasionally have availability at shorter notice. If you’re desperate to have us shoot your wedding, get in touch and book in as soon as possible!

You sure can! We’re people-people, so we’re always up for a coffee to get to know each other before you commit.

We know that choosing a wedding photographer is a big deal, and we want to make sure you make the best decision for you! That means no pressure, no sales sleaze, just us getting to know each other and seeing if we ‘vibe’ (or whatever the cool kids say these days).

Let’s do this! First, reach out - fill out our contact form, slide into our DMs, or give us a call. However you get in touch, make sure you let us know when and where you’re getting married and which coverage option tickles your fancy and we’ll let you know if we’re available for your date!

If we are available and you still love us as much as we inevitably love you, it’s time to kick things into gear. Via Zoom or in person, we’ll chat through your plans for the day, start thinking about your shot list and answer any questions that you might have before we get down to the nitty gritty. We ask you to sign a contract and pay a booking fee to secure your date in our diary, and then the real planning begins!

The remainder of our fee is due 2 weeks from your wedding day - and then we’re ready to rock!

On the Big Day

We’re an unstoppable duo! Neil’s the main photographer and is in charge of capturing the most important moments of the day, while Deb’s a second shooter and plays an important role in family-wrangling, making sure bridesmaids are dressed on time, ushering family and friends to the right places at the right times, and whipping out her Emergency Kit to rescue stray hairs, loose ties, blistered feet, loose buttons or anything else you need to look and feel fantastic. Deb captures the incidental moments while Neil’s shooting the main event - so we’ve got every base covered!

Depending on the plan for your day, we usually start shooting 2 hours before the ceremony so that we can capture the all-important preparation and build-up of nerves and excitement! If you’d prefer us to start earlier, just let us know and we can make it happen.

We do! We always capture the bridal preparation and we try to capture the groom’s prep too. Having two camera-people floating around really helps to cover as much as possible, but sometimes logistics (e.g. different venues and timings) make it tricky to get both the bride and groom’s pre-ceremony prep.

Of course! If you want formal shots of your family and friends, we’ll make it happen. In the run up to the Big Day we’ll ask you to think about the formal shots you absolutely must have and on the day Deb will help to gather the troops to make it happen.

We’re big believers that your wedding day should be fun and relaxed, so we recommend sticking to fewer formal group shots if possible so that we’re not keeping you from the celebrations for any longer than necessary!

If you’re not sure which group photos to include in your shot list, we’re happy to advise. We’ve been to a lot of weddings, so we know the drill!

A very important question. We live in the UK, so the weather can be incredibly fickle… While we can’t wave a magic wand and guarantee a dry, sunny day for your wedding, we will always do a recce at the venue before your Big Day and formulate a good weather plan and a bad weather plan.

If you’re willing to get a little wet, some of our favourite photos were shot in the pouring rain! Think wellies, umbrellas and romantic moments hiding out under trees. We can make it work!

In our 8 years of wedding photography, we’ve never missed a wedding (touch wood). BUT if one or both of us did happen to be ill on your wedding day, we have a backup plan in place!

Us wedding photographers are a friendly bunch and we’re part of a group of local photographers who have each others’ backs. If one of us is ill, someone else (just as good with a camera) will take our place. Any last-minute emergencies will be covered by an alternative photographer - we promise we will never leave you photographer-less on your wedding day!

We have zero expectations! It would be lovely if we were fed, but if that’s not possible for any reason that’s completely fine. All we ask is that you let us know beforehand so we can bring extra snacks to keep us going!

For Full-Day Coverage, we shoot from roughly 2 hours before the ceremony right up to and including the first dance. In our Extended Coverage package, we’ll stick around into the evening, up to 10pm, to capture all the celebrations.

If you need even longer coverage, we’re happy to help! Just let us know when we chat.

Your Photos

All of your wedding photos will be delivered to you in a snazzy online gallery. You’ll get your photos in colour and black-and-white and the gallery platform has a handy integrated shop where you can treat yourselves to prints, wall art, frames or even design your own album. You can send the gallery link to family and friends and all your photos are hosted for 24-months (longer if necessary).

We aim to get your photos edited and delivered to you within 4 weeks of your wedding. It’s usually much quicker, because we can’t wait to edit after a wedding! But in busier periods, we’ll still aim to hit that 4-week mark so you’re not left waiting for an eternity.

A LOT. We usually end up with galleries of 450+ photos for our couples, but depending on the coverage package you choose this figure could be much higher!

Let’s put it this way: you’ll be spoilt for choice if you’re choosing which photos to get printed…

Legally, copyright of all photos I shoot and edit stays with me - I ‘own’ them.

BUT, as you’ll see in our contract, you have permission to do what you want with them. Once they’re delivered to your gallery, you can download them to print, share on social media, add to your CV or whatever you fancy doing with them.

All I ask is that if a supplier requests a photo from your wedding day, you point them in my direction. This way I can make sure they have the best format and quality for their needs - because none of us want a pixelated photo of your wedding day printed in a magazine!

“Huge thank you to Neil and Deb for shooting our wedding! They honestly were fantastic to work with and the photos turned out amazingly (with such a quick turnaround!)

We felt so at ease in front of the camera as time with them felt like time with old friends – they are super lovely people!

Special shout-out to Deb who is worth her weight in gold – she calmed me down when I was getting stressed and was there to do all the little things (like carrying my cape when I got too chilly!) that you don’t realise you need help with until the day of the wedding!” Jessica & Tom Player – Coombe Lodge, Blagdon
