Jen & Dan
Charlton House Hotel
Our first time at Charlton House and what great day we had. The first thing that struck me was Jen’s smile, it said it all and she didn’t stop beaming all day! Make-up completed by friend Rosie, and Jen looked a picture as she waited for her close friends to arrive to help her on with her stunning dress by So Gorgeous. A quick dash over to Dan and his groomsmen for some pictures of novelty Harry Potter socks and personalised hip flasks (full of course) and then it was back to Jen for the big reveal. Dad was blown away as he saw his daughter for the first time and Jen managed, just, to hold back the tears.
The ceremony was really special today with Jen’s sister not only as a bridesmaid but also one of the registrars…fab! We decided to take the newly weds off straight away for pics to make the most of the dry weather and the light. Amazing spots today for some great images including a gorgeous orchard and an incredible tree in full autumn colours. Back to the house and with group shots done it was time for the speeches, where Dan made an emotional speech with a very moving tribute to his Grandmother.
With the evening upon us it was nearly time for the couples first dance which followed the decapitation of Connie and Colin wedding cakes in the shape of two very unlucky caterpillars…brilliant! Their first dance complete and Jen and Dan invited their guests onto the floor with each and everyone of them having to find a partner, it definitely got the party started which included inflatable instruments… great fun!
Thank you Jen and Dan for asking us to share your special day with you.
