30th June 2018
Dawn and Shaun
‘It’s A New Dawn!’
Let’s start by saying the day was HOT! With temperatures soaring at Cricket St Thomas Golf Club there was only one thing on our minds…shade. We started our day at Swandown Lodges just up the road from the venue. The very relaxing surroundings made for some calm prep. Dawn’s dress was stunning, nothing like anyone was expecting, a very traditional, slightly old fashioned (Dawn’s words!) and Dawn looked simply beautiful. Ready in good time, Dawn waited for the arrival of her Grandma, who had the honour of giving her away… a very special, emotional moment for everyone.
We zipped up the road to the golf club where Shaun greeted us…and may I say Shaun you looked very dapper! We managed to find some shade on the 18th, so grabbed the Groom and Groomsmen for some pictures under the trees, keeping an eye out for flying golf balls! All the guests were ready over in the ceremony room waiting for the arrival of Dawn, her eight. Bridesmaids and not forgetting, Kaiden their very handsome Pageboy, also their son.
Shaun was finding the emotion of the day a little overwhelming and a few tears were shed whilst waiting for his bride. The ceremony flowed with Kaiden letting everyone know “My Mummy looks like a princess”…she sure did! Then it was golf buggy time, with Neil hanging onto the back of one, catching some fun pictures of the new Mr & Mrs Pratt behind. The beautiful day continued with lots of love, laughs and sunshine. With the cake cutting and first dance underway everyone started to enjoy the evening, with the Best Man down to just shirt, trousers and bare feet trying to stay cool!
Thank you Dawn and Shaun for asking us to share your special day.
