Amy & Owen
Wellington Barn
First time for us at Wellington Barn and what a fantastic venue, full of character throughout.
We met Amy and Owen for the first time today and what a great couple, they made us feel welcome from the start. Amy arrived in a classic car and what an entrance she made, looking stunning with an eye catching head band full of bling! The walk towards Owen was an emotional one, but not just for the bride, but Dad who couldn’t hold back the tears. The ceremony was a beautiful one with more tears and a lot of love and including two amazing readings. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side today so only a brief time outside with a lot of hair grips to hold the veil in before we went back in the warm to finish the pictures. Speeches today were great… starting with Dad, and anyone could see just how proud he was of his daughter. This was followed by the best man who had the whole room laughing with his stories about him and Owen and the antics they got up to over the years. Owen was up next who spoke so lovingly about his new wife and his hay fever definitely got the better of him! Finally it was Amy’s sister Carly who took to the floor and what a belter of a speech it was, as she sung her way through hers changing the words to Amy’s favourite songs to describe their relationship…absolutely fantastic, good job Carly. How to follow that…enter the singing waitresses a surprise for everyone in the room, and to top off the singing Amy’s Grandad sang a special rendition of Sweet Caroline for her… a really touching moment.
A few more group shots in front of the gorgeous flower wall made by the bride herself and it was time for the cutting of the cake created by the very talented Carly and then straight into the first dance…and that’s where we left them to party the night away! Thank you for an awesome day you guys were great.
